This garden is a living tribute to Gregg’s mom, Rosie Deems. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed flowers–especially roses. Enter through an arch of pink Eden roses and a white picket fence covered with Iceberg and Sombreuil roses. A curved walkway leads to a water fountain and a colorful display of hollyhocks, foxgloves, delphiniums, camellias, and impatiens flanking the front door. The pergola provides a lovely view of the rose and iris gardens. As you stroll toward the gardens in the back; you pass a climbing white Eden rose, camellias, dahlias, larkspur, cup & saucer, and other colorful perennials. Continue to walk into the side yard and pass through another rose covered arbor near a bed of iris and alstroemeria. A favorite place where hummingbirds flutter on their way to visit the stephanotis at the water feature. If you linger near the fuchsia baskets, a deep breath will bring you the delicate fragrance of sweet peas. The covered patio is ready to entertain and overlooks the centerpiece of the rose garden–a three-tiered fountain with two sweet pea towers. Feel free to travel the path shaded by a large avocado tree and discover the gazebo and many other flowers to treat your camera to.
